Karen began her career in events in the fashion industry almost 15 years ago and planned events ranging from fashion shows & celebrity personal appearances to galas. She and her husband decided to trade the hustle and bustle of Chicago for the warm ocean breezes and palm trees of Naples almost 10 years ago and were married in 2002. At the time….she searched for a wedding planner who could oversee the detailz of their big day, so she wouldn’t have to worry about anything, but had to start searching as far as 2 hours away!
Fast forward a couple years….she had a client who mentioned that she and her daughter didn’t live in the area and needed help pulling the details of her wedding together….a light bulb went off and Karen said “Well…….I used to plan gala events….I think I can help you with a wedding for 100!” A week later Karen found out she was pregnant , her due date was right around her first clients wedding date! So she called her friend Madi, an organized mother of 3 girls, to be her reinforcements and…….the rest is history!
Karen’s focus is the design aspect of Detailz Events. Her passion is art and design and her canvas is her client’s events. She finds her muses in totally unexpected places and garners inspiration not just from wedding trends, but from nature, art, fashion, and all things design.……She loves to have a hand in not just weddings but galas, charitable events & editorial shoots. Bringing all this experience to the table helps her create events for her clients that are not “typical” but fresh and innovative…….
