Love this invitation and favors for a holiday party! The vintage graphics looks like it is straight from It’s a Wonderful Life. I also love the red and white stripes!
I know we posted this one on Facebook already, but I love that it looks like a fair isle sweater! Read More…

Here at Detailz, Karen, our principal designer, finds inspiration for our events everywhere. She then takes those facets and blends them with the personality of the client to create a one-of-a-kind event, custom tailored for the bride and groom.
Below is Karen’s “inspiration board” for our vintage-themed wedding based on a fabric print by Liberty of London (the first item on the board):
Madi, our Envelopments design guru, loves to incorporate these elements into each event’s paper products, such as invitations, itineraries, programs, menus, and place cards. Here are Madi’s creations for the same event: Stay tuned for more images showing all of the Detailz of the resulting event. We will showcase how we incorporated the elements from the original inspiration board with Karen’s twists to give our clients an event like never before.

Well, we are in the height of our season right now, so I must make this short and sweet, but a few weeks ago we did a wedding for a well-traveled couple who had guests flying in from all over the world. The bride & groom live in London and the bride had found some Liberty of London fabric that became the starting point of our design for this wedding. We mixed in some natural flax linen, orange & yellow silk, vintage touches and the results were fresh as a Spring day! Enjoy this bit of eye candy and check back again for more of the Detailz that went into this wedding!
Happy Weekend!

I promised to bring our Envelopments® stationary back and here is more! We mixed it into a story board so you see how all the elements of your printed items should coordinate not only with the other colors but the other textures you have going on in your decor. Since we do so many seaside weddings, we are always looking to put a new and chic twist on a “beach themed wedding”. Here we added seahorses to the printed decor and used seagrass mats to cover the floral containers with small starfish accents throughout.
One of my most frequent words of advice to my brides is EDIT what you like…just choose a couple of your favorite colors and do them well. Here our predominant color was pink, we threw in some little pops of green to break it up and then added a natural element(seagrass and woven chargers) to add that seaside chic look. The white paper on the printed items shown even have a linen texture to weave a common thread through all the visual elements.
Colors, shades, textures….all these elements should work together. Don’t just assume they work, do samples and get swatches even a few blooms and lay them all out together and see how they play off of eachother….that’s good design!

The Envelopments® stationary line is just so amazing! It has been featured in Martha Stewart Weddings many times…Below is a save the date and menu we put together for a beachside event. Since we design our clients tabletops it felt like a natural progression to continue designing the printed items that go on your tabletop. Karen designs the look and Madi makes these items by hand and does an amazing job-her attention to detail is impeccable! For this tabletop…we carried the same look through all the stationary and I must say Envelopments® papers are scrumptious! They have gorgeous textures, sparkle, pearlescent sheens, brilliant colors-I could go on and on! We’ve used their papers for place cards, invites, even Christmas cards… What I love about this line is they have “recipes” if you don’t want to spend the time picking all the papers, graphics, etc. or if you are really into it you can totally pick every last detail and create something all your own! We will definitely share more in the future….the ideas and possibilities are endless and oh so pretty!!!
